January 12, 2019, a month after returning from her 2nd deployment, Amanda was driving on the highway on her way to her first day of drill of the new year.  After hitting a patch of ice, Amanda's car spun out of control and stopped after hitting a guard rail.  While walking outside her vehicle to assess the damage, another vehicle driven by another soldier hit the same patch of ice and slid into Amanda's car pinning her in between them.

Walking to the back of her car was the last time Amanda would stand on her own two feet again, or was it?

​

Amanda found our Bare It All project and contacted us about wanting to do something to help make her feel beautiful and sexy again after her amputation.  She needed to tell her story and bare it all to help her heal.

​

Amanda, who is still serving our country with the National Guard as a recruiter, is standing tall.  

​
